Community Based Flood Mitigation in Western Kenya

Use of indigenous Plant, endow (Phytolacca dendecandra) Crude Extracts to control Bilharzia and Mosquitoes in Small Water Bodies

Lake Victoria Basin is endowed with different types of water bodies some being most suitable sites for disease vectors which contributes to high incidences of water born diseases in the basin. The aim of this project was to investigate the use of indigenous plant extracts in the management of disease vectors in Nyando River Basin floodplain.
